Hi, I am Makayla!
I am the momma to 2 very adventurous and wild-banshee boys and the proud wife an Air Force veteran. I picked up my iphone camera when we had our first and have not stopped taking pictures of every little moment since then!
We recently moved from Ohio to Virginia and welcomed our second son into the mix and this is when I discovered that I really don't have much of a "hobby" or "me time." anymore. Pretty common mama-bear struggle right? I decided pictures are the one thing that I have enjoyed doing since becoming a momma and my passion has quickly blossomed from there. When I am not behind camera, I am on the other side of it juggling my two boys, drinking copious amounts of coffee and occasionally, I will leave the local rural vicinity for some Hobby Lobby thrills...did I mention I'm a mom yet?! In the center of all this chaos, there's my rock and confidant, Jesus. Time and time again, He has worked miracles in my life, the lives of my children and in my marriage. I would not be standing here today without such a good, good Father!
I really love capturing those raw moments that bring a memory to life when you look back on them. I want people to be able to look at my photos and feel the way they did in that moment. Plus...I love meeting new people and what better way to break the ice than to get you and your loved one's laughing? I look forward to working with you and hope I can join you for some of these memories.

About your session:
My style may be aimed more toward lifestyle photography but my ultimate goal is always to capture the moments that mean most to you. I want to hear your vision, your dream, your plan and I want to make that happen. What I do isn't worth it unless the smile I am capturing is genuine. With me, you are heard and I truly care about what you are looking for.
- I have a small client closet you will have full access to! I have styles for all kinds of sessions in various sizes for maternity, family, and personal portraits.
- The day before your session, I will text you to just go over the details and confirm everything for our time together. We will go to our place of choosing and capture some special moments. Following the session, I go home and start getting to work on your images! Within 1-2 weeks you should have your pictures back to you, emailed via a link where you can choose your favorites!
